
Dr. Hagar Fouda is an Assistant Professor of Child Psychology and Special Education at the College of Early Childhood Education, Educational Sciences College, Minnesota Islamic University, USA.
Education and Qualifications
Dr. Fouda holds a Ph.D. in Education (Kindergarten) specializing in Special Education for Preschool Children from Cairo University, graduating with an "Excellent with Honours" distinction. Her doctoral thesis focused on the effectiveness of a program for developing psychological resilience in mothers of deaf children and its relation to reducing their psychological stress and their children's behavioral problems. She also holds a Master of Philosophy in Education (Kindergarten) from Cairo University. Her foundational degrees include a Bachelor's in Childhood and Education (Kindergarten track) from Tanta University, graduating with an "Excellent with Honours" distinction in 2004. She is also specialized with a number of diplomas in education, including the Professional and Special Diplomas in Education (Nursery and Kindergarten) from Tanta University.
Her professional experience spans both academic and practical roles in Special Education and Speech and Language Disorders (Takhateb).
Current Role: Assistant Professor of Child Psychology and Special Education.
Special Education Leadership: She has held roles as the Supervisor of the Special Education Department at Enan School, Cairo (2019–2020), and as the Head of the Special Education Department at Smart Boy Center, Cairo (2016–2019).
Clinical Experience: She has significant experience as a Speech and Language Disorders Specialist at several centers and clinics in Cairo and Tanta (2010–2015), including diagnosing and evaluating language and speech disorders at Maharat Cairo Center (2020–2022).
Early Education: She started her career as a Kindergarten Teacher at El Shorouk School, Tanta (2007–2008).
Published Research: She has published research in the field of childhood psychology, notably on the psychological stress of mothers of deaf children and behavioral problems in deaf children.
