Montessori MATH

Montessori education emphasizes a child-centered approach that recognizes each child as a unique individual with their own pace and style of learning. The first plan of development, which covers the age range of 3-9 years, is a critical period for developing a strong foundation in math concepts and skills.

In a Montessori math course for 3-9-year-olds, the curriculum would typically be divided into five areas:

Number Sense and Quantity: This area focuses on developing a sense of number and quantity in children. Activities in this area include counting, matching, sorting, and classifying objects based on their attributes.

Decimal System and Place Value: In this area, children learn about the decimal system and place value, which are the foundation of our number system. Activities in this area include learning the names and symbols of numerals, and exploring the relationship between tens, units, and hundreds.

Operations: In this area, students learn about the four basic operations of addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division. They start with concrete materials such as the Montessori math beads and move towards more abstract concepts as they become more comfortable with the operations.

Fractions: This area introduces children to the concept of fractions and helps them develop a sense of relative sizes. Activities in this area include matching, ordering, and comparing fractions.

Throughout the course, the emphasis is on hands-on, experiential learning, with children using concrete materials to explore math concepts. Teachers also encourage children to work collaboratively and independently, allowing them to develop their problem-solving skills and build their confidence in their own abilities.

Overall, a Montessori math course for 3-9-year-olds is designed to help children build a strong foundation in math concepts and skills, while also fostering their curiosity, creativity, and love of learning.

 العمليات الحسابية: في هذا المجال، يتعلم الطلاب عن العمليات الأساسية للجمع والطرح والضرب والقسمة. يبدأون بالمواد الملموسة مثل خرز الحساب في المنتسوري وينتقلون إلى مفاهيم أكثر تجريدًا بمجرد أن يصبحوا أكثر ارتياحًا مع عمليات الحساب

 الكسور: يقدم هذا المجال للأطفال مفهوم الكسور
